Yael Center

The Yael Center is a professional therapeutic organization which focuses on speech therapy and multi-dimensional therapy via two unique methods, the VML and MDT methods accordingly. It is called Yael in honor of one of the first children Dr Vashdi treated at the beginning of his professional way. The idea to choose this type of name to the clinic came from the deep understanding that the knowledge and service are being developed for the children and not the profession. The center has been in existence since 1996.

שאלה שעלתה היום מהורה לילד עם אפרקסיה: האם ההורים באמת יכולים לקדם את ילדם? האם לא נדרשת בהכרח התערבותש ל איש מקצוע? תשובה: שאלה טובה. כבר מהתחלת הדרך המקצועית שלי ראיתי שהורים יכולים לקדם את הילד שלהם עם הנחייה בצורה מצוינת עד כדי רכישה מלאה של הדיבור, גם במקרים קשים. מצד שני, רוב ההורים לא יוכלו לעשות את זה מסיבות שונות - אין רצון להיות במקום הזה, הילד לא משתף פעולה, אין יכולת למידה של התכנים ועוד . יש הורים שרוצים ויכולים ויש הורים שאינם יודעים שהם יכולים אבל בהחלט יכולים. הטיפול באפרקסיה דורש התערבות אינטנסיבית ורבה לאורך השבוע. 3-5 יחידות שבועיות תהיה התערבות טובה מאד. כיום קשה מאד למצוא מטפל ראוי ומנוסה גם לפעם אחת בשבוע, לכן להתערבות ההורים יש מקום מאד משמעותי אם יש מטפל וכמובן אם אין מטפל. אנחנו מנגישים את הידע המקצועי בצורה מלאה. כל אחד יעשה בו שימוש בהתאם ליכולותיו.

Dear Romanian families The first VML training for parents in Romanian started on Saturday, delivered for the first time by the wonderful Paula Mamina-Chiriac and Raluca Popa. We had 12-15 participants, which is a very good number for a first training and it was fluent, interesting and parent friendly. They already learnt techniques to work with their kids.
